胶东民居为典型的合院空间，本案选择礼村一处院落改造为民宿，院子目标使用群体为来此居住的三代家庭。

将原来通长的房子化整为零，突出了五个主要的坡屋顶房子：即南边的餐厨与起居，北边的父母儿童套房与老人房，以及中间的茶亭。他们之间由平顶房子连接，提供交通等辅助性的功能。

坡顶房为独立可辩的”海草房“，平顶房为可上人屋面。整体建筑采用清水混凝土现浇结构，反梁结构保持室内平顶屋面的水平统一，在室外屋面形成的空腔内覆土，外铺室外防腐木地板，可考虑在木地板间隙中种植。坡屋顶与平屋顶形成了连续的界面，供人们在屋面行走。

Traditional east Shandong dwellings are typical courtyard houses. This proposal aims to transform a set of courtyard house into a generational family house.

The uniform house massing is broken down into five pitched roof units, each of which serving a function: kitchen and living room to the south, parent house with children suite, and grandparent house to the north, a tea pavilion to the west. These five houses are connected with circulation and service programs that take form of flat roofs.

The pitched roof houses are thatched ‘seaweed houses’that use local building techniques. The flat roof slabs are cast below beams to achieve a clean concrete ceiling. Soil is infilled in ceiling cavities and wood planks are applied on top. The roofs have become a continous surface that one can walk on.
