本次改造项目的业主是一家有着独立办公楼的科技公司。改造的空间位于办公楼最高层第五层，设计需要创造一个内向、正式、面向外部客户使用的会议空间。

场地功能

场地主要组成为由三个8.1mX8.1m的柱跨单元形成的长方空间，以及在长方空间与楼体核心筒之间的U型空间。利用这一先天条件，将大会议与多功能厅安放在长方空间，U型部分南北放大区域分别为休息区以及小会议室，U型中间压挤部分为交通空间。

厚墙应用

为了使新建墙体最少，并保持平面最大开放性，引入了“厚墙”的概念。这一系统在长方形空间内及周围展开，形成了一系列的具备使用功能的腔体，比如储柜、展柜、座凳、门洞等。这样将服务功能集中封闭，最大限度释放了开放平面功能使用的自由。

场景转换
“厚墙”形成的腔体承载了四种类型的门：一般的平开门，大会议室的隐藏推拉门，前厅两侧的开关门，以及多功能厅中间的活动推拉门。后两者构造特殊：两扇开关门每扇宽1.2米，高3米，由地轴承载整体重量，实现走道空间与多功能厅之间的单向开关；八扇活动推拉门由吊顶轨道引导，分别收藏在两边厚墙腔体中，负责分隔多功能空间。通过这两种建筑构件的开合，实现了空间从三个会议室到五个会议室的转换。

天花系统

整体的天花系统采用了穿孔铝板，将各工程系统集约解决：灯光系统采用透过穿孔铝板的环境光与藏于凹槽的任务光；空调出回风口藏于凹槽上方；消防喷淋按穿孔铝板位置均匀布置等。这样使天花对视觉干扰达到最小，解决了一般室内公共空间天花过于凌乱的通病。

建筑材料

整体室内空间材料分面统一：地面使用两种深度灰色的地毯，墙面为胡桃木板材与白色铝板，天花为白色穿孔铝板。营造大空间色深厚重，小空间色浅轻松的氛围。

The client is a tech company that occupies an entire office building. The renovated interior space is on the top floor of this five storey building. The challenge is to create an introverted and formal conventional space for visiting guests.

Site and Program

The site is composed of a rectangle space, which is formed by three consecutive 8.1m x 8.1m column bay units, and a U shaped space, which is in between the building core and the rectangle space. To take advantage of this configuration, the rectangle space is used for convention hall and grand meeting room, the enlarged parts of the U shape is used for lounge at the south and small meeting rooms at the north, and narrow part of the U shape is used for circulation.

Poche Space

The concept of poche is introduced as to minimize the amount of walls to be built and to maximize the openness of the plan.  The poche space is deployed in and around the rectangle space, forming a series of programmable cavity spaces such as storage, display, seating and openings, etc. This concentrated service programs enable the open plan to be used freely.

Changing Scenarios

The cavity space formed by the poche hosts four kinds of doors: pivoting doors for general entry, concealed sliding doors for the grand meeting room, on/off doors at either end of the foyer, and sliding panel doors in the convention hall. The latter two have special built details.  Each of the on/off doors is pivoted on the ground and has a dimension of 1.2m in width and 3m in height. They act as on/off switches for the neck of the U space. The eight sliding panel doors are guided on the track in the ceiling and stored in the cavity spaces. They are used to divide the convention hall into two. When these two types of doors work together, they can transform the using scenarios from three meeting rooms to five meeting rooms.

Ceiling System

Engineering systems are integrated into the perforated aluminum panel systems for the ceiling. Ambient lighting is placed over the perforated aluminum panels and task lighting is hidden in the slots between the panel groups. Air exhausts and intakes are hidden on top of the slots. Sprinklers are arrayed in alignment with ceiling panels. This minimizes the visual interference from these elements, which stand out quite prominently in public spaces in general.

Building Material

The materials are applied by different surfaces: two shades of grey carpets for the ground, dark walnut wood panels and white aluminum panels for walls, and white perforated aluminum panels for the ceiling. Dark color is applied to open spaces and light color to intimate spaces, as to create a sense of formality and casualty for these two separately.
